It is hard to know what vitamins to be taking and whether or not you need to be taking something every day. Generally most people have taken a multivitamin at some stage in their life, during their childhood, teenage years, preconception, pregnancy, or over 50. Multivitamins are fantastic if you are in good health as they contain small amounts of vitamins and minerals, you can think of them as a nice top up to an already healthy individual.
Many people feel like they should do a detox but are not sure why they should be doing one, in this blog we will go through the reasons why you may want to do a detox. Detoxing your body is definitely something that should be done from time to time as the body sometimes needs extra help in detoxifying. A detox can be as short as a seven-day course or as long a month, effectively you are trying to cleanse your body and improve your detoxification pathway.
Naturopaths treat the patient holistically, therefore treating the person as a whole rather than just their symptoms. Naturopaths can treat a wide variety of issues and quite often approach them differently to how an orthodox doctor would. Using natural remedies, a Naturopath can treat gut issues, decreased immune function, mental health, fatigue, pain, insomnia and wellbeing.
Here at Friendlies Chemist we have a fully qualified Naturopath in store, Sarah; she is here five days a week. Sarah has two university degrees, which means she can offer you professional, highly relevant, scientific based advice. A Naturopath treats the body as a whole and offers a holistic approach to health. Naturopaths use a range of medicinal options such as, herbal, nutritional, lifestyle, diet advice and homeopathy.
